Pre-Marital Counseling: Yea or Nay?

For those of you who are already married and those who are/would consider marriage, what are your thoughts on pre-marital counseling?

Should it be required for all couples in order to get married?

OR

Is it something that only "troubled" couples need?

  1. Yes I believe that pre-marital counseling should be required before getting married. Marriage is so complicated at time and it takes understanding each other before committing to your vowels.

  2. True, I suggest at least 6 months of pre-marital counseling for those planning to marry. It allows you to discuss topics that do not come up in normal conversation.
